“Untitled”
A four-letter word that is supposed to have great meaning among all
Too many times we see relationships of so called “love” crumble and fall
Is it that feeling you get when he makes you laugh and blush
Or are you the chick on the side he has to keep on the hush?
When you say you love him, does he say it back to you?
Or does he grin and smile and say I like you too?
Who ever said like meant the same as the word love
Love is like the sunshine God sends from above
Who knew this feeble word could be oh so strong
Aren’t you mad you didn’t see his true intentions all along?
His one goal was to use you and get in between
This so-called “love” thing ain’t as perfect as it seems
Was it the lingering smile that fooled you, or maybe it was his charm
He got what he wanted now there’s no one on your arm
You mean to tell me you seriously thought he was gonna stay?
This ain’t Burger King girl; you can’t have it your way
All your friends told you to cut him off, don’t look back, and leave
But he kept whispering sweet nothings and you just played make believe
I wish I could empathize, but I’ve heard to many stories of the same
Honestly YOU are guilty and YOU are the one to blame
This man was married with 3 kids and you knew it wasn’t gonna last
Now all you’ve got left is dwindling memories of the past
What more do you want me to tell you; you’ll never see him again it’s goodbye
Why would you still want him back he dissed you don’t you dare even try
To remedy the situation and appease whatever you had left
He ran away and took your heart with him; should we charge him with high-class theft?
You must admit his game was slick you fell for every line
But after you’ve learned your lesson, there won’t need to be a next time
So listen up women near and far; from all around everywhere
Don’t follow the same mistakes as this woman; lookout and beware
Don’t confuse lust with love; pay attention and be smart
Love is true and patient; just remember to follow your heart
